Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a businesswoman, investor and speaker from the United American. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran later left the business. Corcoran was a participant in 12 of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. In February of 2020, she had closed 53 deals. The most significant of these was a purchase of $350,000 to Coverplay at 40 percent. Corcoran was the second of a family of 10 kids and was raised in Edgewater.  Her mother, Florence, was a household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. became her father throughout Corcoran’s childhood. Sometimes, the family relied on the delivery of free food from a local grocer. Corcoran remembers her father as an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially when the fact that he was drinking. Corcoran had difficulty in school, and was later told that she was dyslexic. Corcoran attended a Catholic primary school within her community and began the high school year in St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year before transferring to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
